An Institute for Training in Ministry CourseChristianity 101
Course objectives
This 12 lesson course covers the basics of the Christian faith. Learners will not only learn these basic Christian truths, but also to become involved in the local church. Christianity 101 requires an hour of personal study per lesson, plus involvement in group interaction. Learners are challenged to use this course to disciple another person and to begin their own ministry of discipling.
Course target audience
The main target audience are people new to, or interested in, Christianity. However those who would like a refresher are also very welcome.
Expected learning outcomes
– Understand the basics of Christianity
– Be able to lead someone to Christ
– Begin your own ministry of discipleship
– Learn how to get involved in your church
– Be able to teach this course yourself
Costs
Suggested donation of $6.26 to cover the costs for the workbook.
Expected amount of homework
Every week about 1 hour of homework is expected. You will get far more out of this course if you do your homework.
Registration options
Registration is not required but highly recommended, so we know how many worksbooks to order.

Enlightened Fellowship: An Inductive Study of 1 John
Course objectives
This discussion of 1 John aims to help us learn and apply what John intends for his readers, namely, enlightened fellowship with God and each other (1 John 1:3–7). It also aims to help us and others benefit from inductive Bible study methods in our personal devotions and small groups.
Course target audience
All who desire to walk more closely with God and each other by responding to Scripture with worshipful application.
Expected learning outcomes
After completing this course, you should be able to do the following:
– Explain the major themes of 1 John and their importance for one’s fellowship with God and each other.
– Employ the inductive Bible study method of observation, interpretation, and application to conform your life to John’s message.
– Exercise a worshipful, prayerful, careful, obedient, and communal approach to understanding the Bible.
– Express your response to God’s word through worship-based prayer.
– Enrich your personal devotions and leadership of life groups.

Expected amount of homework
Prayerful preparation and reading of short Scripture passages are suggested but not required. The average class discussion will focus on about ten verses of 1 John each meeting.

BRANT BARON
DISC Personality Types
Course objectives
The goal of this course is that we may be spurred on to love and good deeds by understanding our unique wiring. As a perfect example to follow, Christ always applied the different aspects of personality wisely. He chose followers of varying styles and interacted with them according to their need as he still does today in us!
We will be better prepared to have God-honoring relationships with others, handle conflict, and inspired to do the good works God has prepared in advance for us to do!
Course target audience
Perfect anyone who is interested in understanding their unique wiring so they can learn to honor God with wise responses to others.
Expected learning outcomes
– An understanding of the four styles of the DISC Model of Human Behavior
– Worship Christ as we see the glory of his perfect application of the four styles
– Understand that we are created for good works and called to walk in them!
– Learn to appreciate and celebrate others in the body or our families who are wired differently
Costs
Suggested donation of $7.00 for the costs of the workbook. Optional Assessments are $12.95 each.

Those in attendance will get more out of it if they come at least to the first two sessions. We would strongly recommend registering in advance.
