Our Purpose

Glorify God

The purpose of this church shall be to glorify God as we become more and more a fruit bearing church (Jn. 15:8) bearing the mark of Jesus’ LOVE (Jn. 15:12) both on a corporate and individual level.
We shall strive to understand that the new commandment to love is an impossible task for the natural man to accomplish (I Peter 1:23; Jn. 15:5) but possible only for those who have been born-again of the Holy Spirit (Jn. 3:3; I John 4:7) through FAITH in the PERSON and WORK of the Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8).
This is the Gospel of salvation for all who repent and believe the true gospel (Acts 26:20) and thus are freely JUSTIFIED by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (Rom 3:24-25, 4:5). True Biblical justification, however, is never alone (James 2:18) but is always accompanied by good deeds.
Having received Christ Jesus as Lord we strive to continue to live and grow (Colossians 2:6-7) under the Lordship of our Master and Savor (Luke 6:46) in the Holy Spirit’s control / influence and power (Eph. 5:18; Acts 1:8) in the lifelong process of SANCTIFICATION (Philippians 1:6, 3:12-14) as we are continually conformed to the image of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:29, 12:2).
We shall strive to accomplish this through discipleship; the teaching / preaching of the Word of God (2 Tim 4:1-2), through public worship (Col. 3:16), consistent holy living (Col. 1:9-10; Eph. 4:1-3), Christian education (Titus 2:1), life on life ministry, personal evangelism and missionary endeavor (Acts 1:8; I Peter 2:9; Matt. 28:19-20).
We seek to be prepared and prepare as many as possible for that great and glorious day of our Lord’s return, the blessed hope of our salvation… GLORIFICATION! (I Peter 1:8-9; Eph. 1:5-14; Matt. 5:16;)

In our neighborhoods and to the ends of the earth.

An Introduction To

Sunday Service

Our church family is comprised of young and old with a mixture of denominational backgrounds.  Dress tends to be business/casual but there is always a mixture of ties and blue jeans. We have a variety of Bible classes offered before our morning service at 9:30 am for children of all ages and adults. We also provide children’s church and nursery care for infants through toddlers during the 10:30 am service.
Our services are typically 1 hour 20 minutes in length with 35/40 minutes of worship in prayer and singing and 35/40 minutes of preaching from the Word of God. A member of our pastoral staff along with a worship team will lead in worship that includes singing, prayer, Scripture reading and freewill financial giving (offering).
Our music is a blend of old and new utilizing a variety of instrument to aid us in our praise of God. We aim to sing songs that turn us toward God, are theologically true and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ. Most often the senior pastor is responsible for preaching of the Bible. We aim toward preaching expository allowing times of topical but still using the expository style of working through the text. We don’t believe it is our job to make the Bible relevant because the Bible is relevant for any generation, for all occasions and at any time. Our job is to make clear the truth in its original meaning and then submitting and trusting the Holy Spirit to do His work of illumination and application as believers commit to obedience. We are called not only to be hearers of the Word, but doers.

Life Group

At Faith Community Church (FCC), we recognize the value of community and relationships in a believer’s life. To encourage and facilitate Biblical fellowship, we offer a variety of small groups that help participants to grow together in their walk with Christ. Life Groups provide a way for people to be involved in each other’s lives through Love, Instruction, Fellowship, and Encouragement as they study scripture, pray, and hold each other accountable in a trusting small group atmosphere. If you have an interest in joining a group or want to know more about a group, please call the church office 360-354-0536.
