FCC AWANA

AWANA is finished for the 2023-2024 season.

The 2024-2025 season will kick of in September 2024. Registration will start near the end of August.

Awana is an international, non-denominational Bible-centered youth organization. It stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15). Awana is a program that reaches kids and their families with the gospel. FCC offers Awana weekday clubs for the following three groups:

  • Cubbies (P3K, P4K)
  • Sparks (K – 2nd grade)
  • T&T (Truth & Training for 3rd – 6th grade)

Each weekly club meeting is composed of three main elements:

  • Game Time: fun, active, and safe games
  • Handbook / Small Group Time: a trained adult leader works with a small group of clubbers, helping them through their workbooks.
  • Council / Large Group Time: listening to Bible stories and devotional messages.

Calendar

Awana is every Wednesday at FCC Lynden (586 Birch-Bay Lynden Road) from 6:30pm till 8:15pm. We start early September, and go through the end of April. There is no Awana during the week of Thanksgiving, during the Christmas break and during Spring break.

Help out

Awana cannot be run without volunteers. We need small group leaders, secretaries, and nursery workers. Please contact us using the form below if you are interested in helping out. If you send your kid to Awana and you are a follower of Jesus Christ, please prayerfully consider volunteering with us.

Scripture Memory Tool

We encourage children (and their parents!) to use Quiet Time to help with memorizing your verses. This tool is developed by our very own Awana Commanders! Create an account on www.quiettime.today and send an email using the form below. We will then make sure you have all the verses pre-loaded in the tool so that you can get started memorizing right away.

If you prefer to use another tool, you can download all the Awana verses here.
